The future of the GOP is Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal and a 14 year old home-schooled kid named Jonathan Krohn from Atlanta?  Good news for the Dems.

I love the Cult of Done Manifesto from Bre Pettis.  I'm particularly fond of #4: Pretending you know what you’re doing is almost the same as knowingwhat you are doing, so just accept that you know what you’re doing even if you don’t and do it.

Virgin is closing its Megastores.  My first job in NYC was working for a marketing agency that opened the Union Square store.  I have a ton of pictures buried somewhere.  For the opening ceremonies I helped create the bizarre collection below ... Petula Clark, Branson, 'N Sync [not only did I have to pick Petula up from JFK, but I also rode around Manhattan in a double-decker bus with her and 'N Sync singing her classic, Downtown, as we made our way from Times Square to Union Square].  Who you don't see is Marilyn Manson, who refused to be photographed with 'N Sync.

Noah Brier goes off about ants - interesting, but kind of heavy for a Saturday morning.

In a clear nod [IMO] to what's happening on Twitter, Facebook announces some interesting changes to its home and brand pages, that BrandWeek says: "may require publishers and advertisers to take a more active role in communicating to users via the popular site." 

According to a recent comScore report, searches using the terms “unemployment” and “unemployment benefits” were up over the previous year by 206% and 247%, respectively.
